I’m an illustrator, art director, graphic designer and amazing uncle. I have an aptitude for humor, empathy and adventure. I collect unique thoughts, stories and experiences by memorializing them in my sketchbooks. As someone who is always talking with their hands, I enjoy creating work that has tactile elements, especially those that I can trace back to initial sketches.

I started Story Layer Studio, aka my freelance work, when I realized I could create from anywhere in the world. This career and the ability to travel enable me to find inspiration across London, the US and beyond. Each experience, each layer of my experiences informs each project that follows.

One of my proudest accomplishments is the renovation and three years I spent living in a self-sustainable motorhome, who I lovingly named Bernice. Bernice the Motorhome wasn’t necessarily sleek but I brought out her beauty. The work I put into the renovation and the money I saved by living in it exemplify my adventurous and hard-working nature. I most enjoy when I’m able to work with my hands: illustrating, designing or being my own handyman. I’m able to put my persistence, love of typography, sketching and efficiencies together into the work that I do. Whether it’s with a passion project, such as Bernice, or my client work, I’m able to inject personality and adventure into each project.
